TRUCKBIZ, you should state what truck it's going in. If it's going in a '55.2-59 you don't need to change side covers. If it's going in a '47-55.1 you do.
'55.2 with 6 cylinder and the standard/overdrive is different from the 6 w/hd 3 speed and V8. It's more like the '47-'55.1, with the bellcrank in the linkage.
