I've seen numerous incidents of a crankcase full of gasoline and gas dripping out of the tailpipes from a fuel pump that kept running because of an ignition switch left on after an engine stop. That's also a good way to blow the valve covers off the engine from a crankcase full of gasoline vapors. Jerry
