jorb: I tried everything I can think of to examine this left, rear block area just above the pan line and so far cannot see any numbers. Dennis

The location that I mentioned is to the right of the fuel pump.
Front of block area.
Under a ledge. Example:
3703414 Note: The white background where it says ENGINE CASTING NUMBER is covering ledge.
Might be covered in grease/dirt.
