For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 77 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 77 | I have just completed a total ground up resto on my 50 1300. And of course theres always some gremlins etc to fix. I started driving it and amp gauge was always reading in the discharge side. Finally went too start it 2 days ago and battery was flat. Charged it up and started it. Checked voltage at battery and at regulator B terminal both were 6 volts. Not about 8 volts. So I grounded field and got the gauge to read properly and a high 8.5v charging voltage. So I decided too remove this regulator and replace it with the old dirty grungy one and guess what ? It worked perfectly! Go figure.... | | |
