I thought the engine forum might yield the best answers to my question on the value of a 235.
I have a 56 235, complete from fan to transmission - removed from a one owner 56 pickup. It has the 848 head, and also has the foot starter and assembly. original owners nephew bought the truck from his uncle, who bought it new. Nephew decided to move the truck onto more modern frame, and removed the drivetrain with about 80K on the clock, Still running fine and I don't see anything obvious to dispute that.
I was going to swap this into my 49 Fleetline, but have decided to go a different route. What would a range be for the value of this drivetrain? I know this can be very subjective, but I was thinking the 848 head and foot starter setup would be some items of particular interest for some.. The nephew, and myself, would like to see this engine live on in somebody's project.
