It sounds like you've got some later-model axles under that one, so I'm going to make a few assumptions here- - - - -Changing an axle will require removing the rear cover plate from the differential, and removing the spider gears and pivot shaft in the center of the differential. There's a retaining bolt in the differential housing on one end of the pivot shaft. Remove that, slide the shaft out, and the spider gears will roll out. Be careful not to lose the thrust washers behind the gears. Push the axle shaft toward the center of the rear end, and a "C" clip will be exposed on the inner end of the axle. Remove that, and the axle can be pulled out of the housing. Replace the oil seal at the outboard end of the axle housing, and possibly the wheel bearing behind it while you've got it apart, and reassemble with a replacement axle. Reassembly is the reverse order of how it came apart. good luck!
