I may have committed the gear sin!!!!
Is it a simple matter of changing the gear from a 56 or later dizzy..... grind retaining pin...remove gear...replace and pin in place on the short cap dizzy??
How fast will the damage occur.... miles or hours of operation??? which part takes the beating.... the steel dizzy gear or the camshaft steel gear.
Just did the change to the short cap to get much needed engine cover clearance on my truck.
Sounds like I have another unplanned job coming!!!!
