| | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy GMC kid 7530, I just returned from a two week plus trip to Australia, so I just saw your post. I should have a replacement cap, but as others have said any cap that didn't come from that block originally will have to be line bored when installed to be in proper alignment. Unfortunately the 216, 235 and 261 engines have a different size of bore for every main and cam bearing, this means every bearing bore requires a change in setup for the machinist making this job much more labor intensive than most engine line boring jobs. Please PM me if you would like to come out and pickup a replacement cap. | | |
