The one problem I have with tapping is how I never get a nice square start with the tap. I have this cheap drill press and the chuck really has no place to grab to turn it by hand. Someone should devise a wheel that you put around the chuck that turns with it, to grab while using the dual slide vise for holding. Maybe its just me? Also in blind holes I like to use a flat bottom tap.
