While it may or may not apply here due to the larger series of trucks and the years there are a couple things to check because they are on a running change period.
Cab mounting changed in mid-49 from center shackle to the corner style.

This change requires some modification and the parts need to be part of the deal.
Structurally this same change has the cabs very different from a construction standpoint. The change above and the relocation of the fuel tank sees substantial difference in the interior sheet metal. If you have the external fuel tank it is a non issue.
