I think you will like the serpentine set up. It makes everything be in line (w/factory brackets) and gives the right belt tension. If you should go to V belts remember the water pump will be turning backwards. We make our own brackets for the LS engines to suck all the accessories inward/upward and raise the p/s pump to clear the steering box on many older GM cars. Takes a lot of time and several spacer spools to align everything so keep the factory brackets when possible.
