Another topic; if anyone can help. I have been installing new harnesses in my 63 Chevy pickup. Everything (other than the horn) is working. One of the harnesses was a new Instrument Cluster Harness. Just figured I would do that as long as I was doing all the others (under dash, main harness, etc.) Plugged it in, none of the gauges work and when I shut everything down just the drivers side front amber parking light stays on. Just that one, nothing else. Whenever I plug in the 5 prong under dash connector to the bulkhead connector (which is new) the parking light stays on and the gauges don't work. Unplug it, and everything works with all the lights except dash cluster don't come on and of course gauges don't work. Here's the rub: when I put back my old harness everything works fine. Easy answer, return the new one and keep the old. However, I'm still curious after hours of trouble shooting as to why? Anyone ever had something like this happen? I put in all new ground straps too. Like I said, old harness works fine.
