Why remove it? If it is doing the job, leave it in place. If you do have to remove it for rust repair or personal pref I would suggest a torch with a low flame. It will smoke and stink like heck but afterwards you can scrap or wire wheel the remainder off. Just hope you do not have neighbors close by who are enjoying the outdoors when you fire it up.
