We replaced the stock tranny in my 1949 GMC 1/2T 4-on-the-floor pickup with a SM420 matched to a newer 270 engine. It sticks up about 2 inches above the floorboards, so we can't cover it with the original flat piece. I could modify a fiberglass repro, but 'bolter CMAYNA who put a backup light switch on the same tranny says he has a humped metal cover that fits. He says it has what looks like a handbrake slot next to the hump, and he thinks it may have come out of a 1-ton.
Any ideas where to get this kind of humped cover?
