Hello.
I have a 1955 235 1/2 ton truck engine that I am putting into my 1941 Chev.
The engine has been converted to a 12v system with electrical points and an alternator. It no longer uses the foot pedal starter but starts with a 3 position key.
I guess my first question is related to the starter. There is an upper and lower hub on the back where either the positive or negative battery cables could be attached. How do I know which one is for the positive and/or negative?
Secondly, the starter also has two smaller terminals in the back labeled R and S. What are those for?
I am literally wiring it from scratch, so any information would be helpful.
Thank you,
Judson
