I have had this little spot sand blaster for a few years. I have to say, it is one of those tools that I can't see how I lived without it. I have sand blasted everything from little dime sized spots to a complete set of wheels. In fact, I started using a new pressurized blaster I had got at Harbor Freight and put it way after finding this little blaster worked better, even for the big stuff.
The sand catcher has a few rubber tips that you put up against the surface. When you pull the trigger the sand hits the surface stripping the rust/paint and then it is caught in the bag. I can't tell you enough how well this thing works. You could spot blast the dash board in a restored car without getting ANY sand anywhere! The rubber tip on it in the photos is the small round one, there are ones for corners, rectangle, and large round. Truly a great tool for the pro as well as the home hobbyest.
I bought it on a MAC tool truck, but have seen it in a few different catalogs.
If you don't have a MAC truck stoping by for you, just call a few shops in the area and find out when the truck stops by there and wait around for the guy. They are both made by UNITEC in Bedford Hills NY. The Sand blaster is number 007 while the "HOT SPOT" sand catcher is number HS2020.
