I am doing a frame off restoration on a 1952 Chevy pickup 1/2 ton 5 window I bought from a friend with too many projects himself. I have sandblasting capabilities at work to do all the sandblasting I need. I am in the market for a 70 gallon, 7 hp air compressor (I belive Sam's will be the best place and price about $500.00 for a Black Max)and paint gun to primer or coat with. I have been reading all the posts on this website (alot of excellent info) and the best I can tell alot of people like the zero rust but i was wondering if Expoxy Primer would be just as good with a sandblasted surface and if whatever you use would you use it on all your parts (frame, cab, doors fenders, bed, etc) or would you use differnt types of primers for different parts. This is my first time posting and after reading a bunch of the posts on this website there is alot of useful info here. I thought I could find out what I needed to know without posting but it wasn't true. thanks for any info at is given. i have taken alot of photos and as soon as i can figure out how to make a website i will. thanks.
