I don't understand how the 1100ft-lbs is generated when its only rated at 700 ft-lbs of forward torque??

I would assume nut-busting is an instantaneous or peak value lasting fractions of a second, with the forward torque being a sustained or achievable torque that theoretically be tightened to.
