Is there any way to replace the door hold open springs witnout removing the hinge pin? My hinge pins are in very good condition, I hate to remove them just to replace the springs, but I don't see any other way to do it. If there is a way to do this without removing the hinge pins I would sure like to hear about it.

How tough is it to temove the pins? Can I just grind off the end and pound them out?

Any help would be appreciated.
