| | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,270 Renaissance Man | | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,270 | I am in the process of the same mod (thanks to help from Alvin!), and would suggest that you wait until you have completely installed the engine/transmission (especially the exhaust manifold), and the cab before you cut the original column to the final length. I want to leave as much of the original mast as I can while not interfering with anything on the engine. I cut my mast off close to the original cast piece which bolts to the old steering box for preliminary mockup purposes.
