My idea on the ignition swap was to use a timing advance system that does not require a computer and a bunch of position sensors to get spark timing. One of the side effects of dropping the mechanical/vacuum advance distributors (or distributors altogether) is to make it necessary to have a fairly sophisticated computer program to get spark advance. My goal was to go back to a no-computer situation for guys who don't want to deal with electronics and the necessary wire harnesses and computer(s).
