The car I have for my 16 year old daughter is a 87 Aries K. She had a disagreement with a light pole Friday and crunched a fender. I got a fender at the local pic and pull. Do I need to put primer over the old paint? I am going to sand it w/320 grit. It doesn't need much else. The paint store said to primer, and that's ok, but they can't tell me why. I welcome your thoughts.
