For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 77 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 77 | I have a 1950 5 window with the 4 speed transmission which has been totally restored by a local shop. The truck has yet to be started as I am doing a restoration. I have filled it to the proper level with gear lub. Just from sitting on stands it has developed a oil leak from the drivers side of box. Do the side cover bolts use seals or should bolt threads Have sealant. It appears leak is from there. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks John. | | |
