Per Wrenchbender's comment, I've had the problem of getting a bit of trash stuck in the needle valve causing the carb float bowl to overfill and overflow. Not a good thing - big fire hazard. I ended up using a good quality aftermarket fuel filter in the line right before the carb. Problem solved.
