I'm in the glass biz, and if the windshield is just a flat piece of glass, you can buy a piece of laminated glass (like the original) cut for not that much money and it'd be a whole lot safer than messing with plastic. I'm sure it'd be cheaper than the ticket you'd get for running a plastic windshield. Just my $.02.
