Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 2,168 | About to put my head on and I have a couple questions. 1. I noticed on the driver side near the front of block that the gasket blocks 2 coolant passages. (Not the steam holes) Why? The old gasket is the same. Curious as to why these 2 holes to the head(848) from the block would be blocked off. 2. Should I use a sealant on the gasket? It doesn't say whether to or not. It is a fibrous one with steel/copper rings. Head and block are flat, clean and ready to go. Thanks bolters. | | |
