Jerry, I'm no expert, and I like the AD 1 ton's as well. I saw a fully restored one at a show last year with the 9' bed, very sharp. I can tell you what I've seen around Houston. Relative to 1/2 and 3/4's they are harder to find, I would say 3 to 1. Let's talk ranges, Bottom - never restored/not running - $1-$3K with $1K needing lots of body work/replacements. Middle - never restored but mostly kept indoors with minimal body work and most original parts there and motor running - $6-$12K, big range with bottom needing full paint job, but motor cranks and top being driveable to the feed store as is...all systems functioning well. Then fully restored to original $20-$30K depending on quality of work and materials. I'll keep an eye out for you in my area. Check your craigslist (I find Ebay unrealistic). I actually just bought a 3/4 ton complete parts truck out of Missouri and fellow delivered it...all in $1K. With low humidity, they tend to fair better outside up there(MO/Kansas).
Good luck
