It's a 216 in what is otherwise a 1946. When I referenced the http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/models/engine.htm it looks like the engine is from 1949. My engine number is GBA 4622I8 (the second to the last character looks like a capital i but does not show up that way with this font). Can I tell a date from the sequence number?
