1) Are any of these radials tubless?
Yes. I'm running 7.50R16 on the back of my 52.
2) Are there any 16" x 5.5 or 6" rims with the 8 hole pattern available ? This would be a correct fit for the old AD 1 Tons, backspacing and all.
Yes. But the backspacing kills you. I have a pair off an early 90's model. Same bolt pattern, center hole, and you can even put your hubcap clips on. On the rears, the tire clears the frame by 3/4". On the front I would need 2" spacers. I have plans of putting in a late model differential under mine, with these rims I will have a little less than 1" clearance to the fenders.
