My 235 seems to be overheating all of a sudden. My temp gauge is new but seems to be broken...maybe by being over heated ? So I just ran my truck for about 15 min and left it at idle when I got home for a few minutes to check the block in various places with a laser pyrometer. Is that a reliable way to check for overheating ? Sure seems logical. Yep, it's reading 205 + on each side and top of radiator is 212.
The elec fan is set to come on at about 180 but it's not on. Also I guess could be bad water pump or thermostat...or ? The whole motor was rebuilt from the ground up last Spring
