Not only does powder coat get into all those nooks and crannies that are a bear to get spray into, but the the finish is much more durable than paint.
Recently, while doing brake work, some brake fluid got squirted on the frame and tie rod. It ruined the paint on the tie rod, wiped off the frame powder coat without a mark.
