Use non-scented cheapest personal lubricant (Walmart, CVS, non-name brand).
Also I attach a detachable extension hose that goes down to below the block on the driver's side. That way, water exits below the block. You can easily remove the extension hose at a show. A tapered nylon/plastic hose connector is available at any hardware store.
