I painted mine with tractor paint,(and primer), as well. It looked good,for about the first two weeks,or so. Then it started to dull. I used Van Sickle's Premium Alkyd-based paint,which is supposed to be durable in exposed weather conditions. If you use Van Sickle,I'd suggest applying at least one coat of clear,as well. This may help insure a quality shine. It does not suggest this on the application instructions,though. The price is right-about $40.00/gallon. It took about 1/2 a gallon,(primer,and paint),to cover the cab,hood,and fenders. 3 coats.
