I have the same problem on a '53 that had body and paint work and have a fairly new replacement rubber gasket. I see that Classic Parts sells both a rubber one or a foam one. Has anyone used both and can say which they prefer? I also note that the new bolts that are being used to secure the hinges are fairly small and it looks like they should be larger based on the holes. Does anyone have an original to tell me the correct size?
