I did the same as Jim Sears; flattened a piece of tubing till it fit snug over the weird head only I epoxied the other end into a 3 inch piece of broom handle to make it a screwdriver clone. Been using for 40 years and do have to re-flatten a tad when the fit gets sloppy.
