I believe a 54 motor I acquired probably has a 47 fuel pump in it. I've rebuilt carb-twice-set timing with light and by vac. Gauge. Installed new plugs/wires/cap rotor. vac. advance unit, coil etc-tried 2 condensors. New intake gasket. Set proper dwell. Car idles so nice and revs up in garage-but get on road with a load and it fades bad on power around 35-40MPH Anyone know if 54 pumps deliver more than 47-48 units? That's the one item I think came off my old 47. Catalogs show different model/part no. pumps from different years. Anyone know if volume is different?
