Guys,

My 50 looks like is started out as a red, then was painted green, then was painted blue, then finished off painted black. My goal is to try and sand through some of the top layer of black to expose the multiple colors underneath.

I went to a local auto paint supply store and they told me to use 1000 grit wet sand. Well, I did this using my sander and all it has done was dull the black. I went over it multiple times trying to give it the opportunity to pull off some actual paint. Well, it didn't.

So am I doing something wrong or do I need to use a different grit. I understand it's difficult to remove just one layer of paint, but I am willing to take the time to do it if it can be done.

What say you pro's?
