Thanks, everyone. It's starting to make a lot more sense now. My shop manual says to remove 3 upper glass run channel retaining screws. (Fig 4 in the manual
page) Denny sent a picture that showed 2 screws about 3 - 4 inches apart at the top of the window opening. That is what my truck has. Step 6 under Fig. 4 Says to unhook the spring clip attachment to door window opening. Does anyone know what this is? Would this be the clips from my earlier post? I was thinking of tapping a hole in each corner so I could attach a screw to secure the upper run channel as Fig. 4 shows. Just took a closer look at the slides from Brad. I think I see how the clips work.
