Frame#,Cab#,should work the same. Do you have a bill of sale? How long has it been since the truck was last registered. If it's been more than 8 years since it was registered, it should have fallen off DMV's books. If so, just go in with the vehicle and give them the bill of sale and register that way. They'll search the ID on the cab and go from there.
