Boy,do I have my work cut out for me! I should've checked parts availability for these things,before "taking the plunge"!! I just contacted a few of the IHC specialty parts stores,and they mostly cater to the Scouts and Travelalls. That'll teach me! Next time,I'm going with a G.M. project! IHC parts are CRAZY expensive,besides! on my '67 1000 1/2 ton,I needed a distributor cap, (Delco).The parts guy,(back in '86),quoted $32.50. The cap looked like a small block,(302) Ferd,so I paid for the Ferd cap,($4.50)and it fit! On a Delco distributor!! Like AMC an Studebaker,they were good at weird swaps! Looks like I'll be doing a bunch of parts swaps on the '48,too. I'll let you guys know,on the "Tons of Fun" forum. THANKS!!
