The Plywood floor on the 47.5-55.5 Suburban cannot be removed in one piece without removing the angle-brace on one side (either side). As I recall, there are around 28 spot welds holding the side brace/angle-strip in place. Once the angle brace on one side is removed, the plywood floor can be tilted up and removed (I think it can removed through the rear doors' opening).
If you need replacement linoleum for the floor,
Battleship Linoleum used to sell it in the correct color and thickness (in brown for 1947-1953 but not available in black for 1954/55-1st). You have to route in the grooves yourself.
I wish I had known about Metalman when my Suburban's "rocker panel" was replaced several years ago.
