The 2 ton '48 factory weight w/12 ft flat bed was 6400 lbs.
I added grain truck hoist and sub frame shipping weight (minus the pallet) was 1400 lbs. Say 8,000 lbs, that truck and trailer can handle it. If you are worried about a spot check, add the weight of the trailer and see if the total is with in the rated tow for the truck.
Back roads are better that highways.
