For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 9 | New to Stovebolt. Just bought this truck excellent overall condition for 68 year old truck. The guy I bought it from who owned it for 35 years did not know or did not tell that engine was not original. My search so far shows it is a 235 from 1959.he also said it was converted to 12 volts but all he did was change from generator to alternator. Maybe when they changed the engine in the 70's before he bought it they changed it to a 12 volt system with a generator. It seems to run ok and he drove it for years with no issues. So maybe dumb luck every thing was done right. I guess I'll ask some questions in the other forums.where would I ask questions about the originality of the all wood flatbed? Thanks for all the info I've found already on the site.Bob PS will post pics when I figure it out | | |
