tclederman Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Jarvisburg, NC, USA	GMC 6 engines had 4 bolt or 6 bolt crankshafts (228 and 270?), depending on the year (and maybe the engine size - it looks like the 302 was always 6 bolt?). It looks like around 1952/1953 was the changeover from 4 to 6. Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
