I have a '46 3/4 ton pickup. In looking at photos of other '46 pickups, I notice that some trucks have a grille the looks like mine. That means that the space between the top and bottom grille is painted the same as the body while the rest of the grille is brilliant chrome. Other trucks show the entire grille assembly to be chrome with no stripe of body color between the top and bottom portions of the grille. Can anyone explain why there seem to be two different styles of grilles for the same year? Just curious.
