Not for paint mixing, but the scale we used for connecting rod weight matching and assembling bob weights for crankshaft balancing was a shadowgraph calibrated in fractions of a gram. ( A dollar bill weighs approximately I gram, so a +/- 1/10 gram tolerance is pretty accurate!)
