I'd give anything to spend a few days in a GOOD body shop - and I think I do OK painting. Have a few cars under my belt.
Experience is everything. If you're handy, you'll get it. If not, leave it to the "pros" or knowledgable friends. Do the parts you feel comfortable with and experiment with the others.
