Ok, so I just got my great-grandfather's 1963 Chevy Pickup from my grandfather. The first thing I want to do to it is give it a new paint job. The truck is Powder Blue with White bumpers and grille. The paint is in pretty bad shape and it is chipping in many places. A couple of spots are starting to rust out (Small spots, no bigger than .5 square inch). Like I said, I really have no clue how to do this, but I want to this myself. I don't have much money to do this so I have to keep it extremly low budget. I don't need an overly nice paint job, just enough to look nice and clean. My first question is: Can I even do the whole paint job by myself?
2. What tools do I need?- I need to know what I have to do to fix the rust and all.
3. If I do it myself, but buy good paint, will it turn out nice? Or will it look like complete crap?
Any and all the knowledge/advice you have would be greatly appreciated. Or if you have done this already yourself and you could tell me the stores/brands you used that would also be helpful.
