on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 12 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 12 | I'm restoring a 52 GMC 1/2 ton truck that appears to have had the entire drivetrain changed out sometime during it's life. It has a 235 engine, with a 4 speed transmission that has an ID of GM5 591568. It has a DANA 44 10 bolt rear end, but I can't seem to identify the axle. I found the numbers 9 5 7A3 and then 967A and 6029 stamped below that on the passenger side axel tube. I'm assuming these identify the axel but I can't seem to bring up these numbers in my searches. Can anyone help me with this? It differential appears to have a 3.73 gear ratio and it has positive traction.
