Hi, I have a 49 Chevy half ton, with a 235 out of a 57. I ordered a new gas tank and sending unit for a 49. The old gas tank drained out of the bottom, the new one has a plug in the bottom and the sending unit has a sock and pulls the gas from the top. I assume that this will still work, but am looking for some feed back. Should i look at maintaining the gravity feed and get a new sending unit, or will this work? Thanks.
